We crossed the border, and this was the first place there actually was a border, but no-one stopped us. First stop at a services for petrol & coffee & a Danish (of course!), where even there people spoke brilliant english. We had another stop at a beach ('Middelfart Strib'!), where it rained then was sunny then rained etc! A bit like our whole day: interesting driving.

So we like Denmark. In Denmark everyone speaks English, and so far everybody seems eager to help. We don’t like to stereotype, but this is an improvement on the treatment we got in Germany!

Having driven to Nyborg Strand Camping, we were shown to a pitch where we looked out onto the bridge we were to go onto the next day. The beach and the sea were only a few metres away. Everyone was friendly and the facilities were good.

Mind you some people obviously were there for the summer, and had their awnings set up like a living room , with TV comfy chairs dining set, TV, fridge freezer etc. Many of them had fences or windbreak fences keeping the children and the dogs in! With pretty lights on.

Having had a showery journey with some very heavy rain, it got better and we had the most beautiful evening: had our tea on a picnic table on the beach, then sitting on the beach and watching the sunset. First paddle in the sea and watching the bridge (in fact the two bridges) and the wind turbines and all the boats.

We were treated to an amazing sunset - God was seriously showing us how amazing He is!
